Yeti F.R.O. Hardtail

This is the last of my bike profile posts (until I get a new bike)!

This is my newest bike, and my first ever mountain bike. I bought it used from Second Ave Sports here in Durango about a month ago. I was told it was owned by one of  the mechanic’s there (Mike maybe) and had been taken care of throughout it’s life.

I’m not sure what year it is, but it’s an aluminum hardtail, Yeti FRO and the frame says that it was made in Golden Colorado. This is my first aluminum frame bike and it is light, I was really amazed with how light it is.

I know next to nothing about mountain bikes and I actually haven’t even gotten to take this bike out on a proper trail yet, the weather hasn’t been cooperating when I’m able to get out to ride it. It’s only seen a couple dirt roads and the the few little foot paths at the park near my house.

I’m super excited to take it out to Phil’s World, Road Apple and Hermosa Creek, learn about riding trails and get into mountain biking.

While this might be my first mountain bike, I’m also looking for a single speed mountain bike. Nothing too fancy/expensive but something that can take a beating that I can take on some easy trails and ride around town. If you know of one for sale, or have an older mountain bike that I could convert please email me by filling out the contact form below.
