BeerTap TV Comes to Durango
The Beertap TV guys came to Durango last week to visit Ska Brewing Co. World Headquarters, Lady Falconburgh’s and film an episode of their Taste Buds show with some of the Ska guys and Greg Koch of Stone Brewing Co. who was in town visiting Ska and hosting Stone night at Lady Falc’s.
I went down to Ska Brewing Co. and met up with the group to have lunch, chat about beer and watch a bit of the filming of Taste Buds. Getting to chat with Greg Koch was a treat, as Stone Brewing Co. was the first craft brewery I really took notice of (living in San Diego at the time that’s not uncommon), he’s a really nice guy. It was also my first time meetingĀ Dave Thibodeau of Ska Brewing (I’ve emailed with him a bunch, but never met face to face), we couldn’t ask for a more awesome guy running an awesome brewery in our town. And the Beertap TV guys were great, it’s always fun to sit down and geek out with someone you share common interests with, and these guys love craft beer.
Here’s a link to the Beertap Tv episode of Taste Buds filmed at Ska Brewing Co. They did a taste test of Modus Hoperandi in cans and bottlesĀ from the same brew batch and no one could taste a difference.
Beer N Bikes is featured as the Beer Blog of the Week on Beertap TV’s Beer Buzz show this week. You can see that episode here.
Eli Shayotovich of Beertap TV is also the Southern Colorado Beer Examiner for Examiner.com. While in town he went to Lady Falconburgh’s and had nothing but good things to say about it.
You can see a few more pictures on flickr.

That was a great episode of BeerTapTV. Wish I could have been there. Glad they saved up a road trip to celebrate over 100 episodes of Taste Buds. I hope to get over to that corner of the state again sometime soon. Would love to visit the breweries around Durango. Ska and Steamworks make some darn good beer.
