2nd Annual Ska Brewing Snowdown Homebrew Competition
The second annual Ska Brewing Snowdown Homebrew Competition took place this past Saturday at Ska Brewing.
71 home brewed beers were entered and Clancy Calhoun of Aztec, NM walked away with Best in Show for “Clancy’s Black Beer” a dark lager. Clancy will brew a full batch of “Clancy’s Black Beer” at Ska Brewing Co. which will be available around August of this year. That batch will also be entered into the Great American Beer Festival’s Pro-Am competition.
My friend and Durango local Chris Oxford took home a gold and two silver medals at the competition. Bill Downs President of the Mesa Verde Mashers Home Brew Club took home a bronze medal.
